Best Homemade remedies to get rid of dark circles permanently

Are you one of those individuals who has been tormented by dark circles under the eyes? Well, if so, you are not the only one suffering from this agony. But do not worry, there are some home remedies that can help heal dark circles. And the best part: they are as easy to use as they are effective.

1. Rosewater.  Rose water is known to rejuvenate the skin, but do you know that it helps reduce dark circles? Not only does it have a soothing effect on the eyes. As rose water has mild astringent properties, it acts as a skin tonic.

  • Apply rose water to dark circles using a cotton pad. 
  • Dip a cotton ball in rose water and place it on the closed eyelids. 
  • Repeat the process for at least three weeks for best results. 

2. Cucumber - Thinking of the cucumber, we remember the Bollywood movies in which the heroines have slices of cucumber kept on the eyes while relaxing. Well, cucumber is indeed refreshing and soothing. He is quite capable of repairing these raccoon eyes.

  • Cut thick cucumber slices and keep them on the eyes for half an hour. 
  • You can also grate the cucumber and apply it down the eyes for best results. 

3. Tomatoes – Tomato has powerful whitening properties that can be extremely effective at effectively lightening the skin. It also contains lycopene, a phytochemical compound beneficial to the skin and also protects it from damage.


  • Apply the tomato juice on dark circles and relax for 10 minutes. 
  • Rinse with cold water after a while. 
  • Follow this remedy two to three times a week for best results.

 

4. Raw Potatoes –   


 Raw potatoes contain antioxidants and have natural whitening properties. It contains beneficial nutrients for the skin and also nourishes the ultra-thin skin around the eyes. It also reduces inflammation and swelling of the blood vessels.


  • Grate a potato or cut a very thin slice. 
  • Place the slice on the eyes for 10-15 minutes. 
  • Rinse your face with cold water. 
  • Repeat the process each day to get rid of dark circles.




5. Almond Oil – 

Almonds are a rich source of vitamin E, beneficial for the skin. Almond oil can be used as an emollient because it has properties that make the skin soft.


  • Take a small amount of almond oil and gently massage the dark circles. 
  • Leave the night for better results.



6. Saffron –


Saffron is well known for improving skin color since ancient times. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory substances present in saffron explain the lightening of the skin. 


  • Take a spoonful of milk and dissolve the saffron sprigs. 
  • Now massage a few drops of this mixture around the eyes and relax. 
  • You can wash it the next morning. 
  • Continue the process each day for best results.

 

7. Aloe Vera Gel –

Aloe Vera, which has many benefits, contains nutritious pigments. It is known to make the skin healthier and brings a radiance to the face.


  • Apply aloe Vera gel under the eyes on dark circles and massage for a minute. 
  • Leave it overnight and wash in cold water in the morning.



8. Cold tea bags –

Green tea contains tannins that have astringent properties that help reduce dark circles. Dark circles are caused by the dilation of blood vessels. Green tea contracts the blood vessels and thus reduces dark circles.

  • Take two tea bags and soak them in cold water. 
  • You can also refrigerate the water for a while. 
  • Keep both tea bags on the eyes for a while (10 to 15 minutes), then wash your face with cold water. 

 

9. Cold milk –

Milk contains lactic acid, beneficial for the skin. It improves the softness and firmness of the skin and also reduces wrinkles and fine lines.

  • Take cold milk in a bowl and a cotton pad.
  •  Rub it on your dark circles and leave it on for 15 minutes. 
  • Wash in plain water after a few minutes. 



10. Orange juice –

Orange contains vitamin C and citric acid, which can reduce persistent dark circles.


  • Use an orange to get freshly squeezed orange juice. 
  • Apply it on the affected area for at least 30 minutes 
  • Wash it slowly and clean it with the cotton at the end.
  • Repeat each day for best results.
